The Director of Free Zone N.V. (FZA N.V.) is the highest executive responsible for overseeing the strategic, commercial, operational, and administrative functions of the Free Zone. This role ensures that the Free Zone operates effectively to attract investments, promote economic development, and comply with applicable regulations. The Director is at the helm of Free Zone N.V. and reports to the Supervisory Board.
Main duties and areas of responsibilities:

Is responsible for the results of the entire organization.

Leads the FZA N.V. team.

Develop and implement the strategic vision and goals for FZA N.V. in line with Aruba’s economic objectives.

Identifies opportunities to enhance the attractiveness of the free zone for international investors.

Is tasked with reorganizing FZA N.V. according to various recommendations from the “Landspakket” and the action plan.

Establishes general policies, sets criteria, evaluates, monitors, and directs the implementation of these policies.

Coordinates the activities of FZA N.V.
-
Initiates revenue expansion opportunities for the free zone.
-
Promotes the free zone through marketing, networking, and international trade fairs.

Reports to and advises the Supervisory Board and the Minister under whom FZA N.V. operates.

Maintains positive contact with tenants, investors, and other stakeholders.

Represents FZA N.V., the Minister of Economic Affairs, and/or the country in various consultation forms.

Develops and manages the budget of FZA N.V., ensuring financial sustainability and profitability.

Ensures internal and external financial reporting for FZA N.V.

Manages incoming and outgoing goods and cash flows efficiently.
Job requirements:

Master's degree in business administration, economics, finance, or a related field.
-
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders and interests.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior management role in trade, logistics, or economic development.

Experience and knowledge of policy development and processes within governmental organizations.

Excellent negotiator and serves as a consultation partner in the circuit of (inter-) governmental bodies, interest groups, and the trade sector.

Strong strategic planning and decision-making skills.

Financial insight with experience in budget development and financial management.
-
Knowledge of modern innovative applications.
-
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
-
Proficient in Dutch, English, and Papiamento.
